Dear reader:
As you may or may not know, our magazine is ceasing publication with issue
no. 26, Fall 2004, to appear on newsstands in mid-September. For more about
the decision, I urge you to read my Editor's Letter. (By the way, it's one
of our best issues ever!).
Meanwhile, we are in the process of upgrading this website. So stay tuned.
It may turn out to be an exciting place to visit. Our general plans for
the electronic continuation are still being formulated, but I can tell you
that among the things we envision is an archive that will give you free
access to the entire run of the magazine-each and every issue from A to
Z.
It will be highly searchable, so you'll be able to track your favorite
writers and photographers, or anything that strikes your fancy. There will
be enhanced opportunities for users to communicate with one another, and
probably a lot more besides. As I say, we've got our thinking caps on!
Yours sincerely,
Joseph Holtzman
